Every great flower starts with roots—and for Black Owned Genetics (BOG), those roots run deep in Kansas City. Established in 2022, BOG began as a small grow operation with a big dream: to cultivate cannabis that embodies culture, representation, and authenticity.

What started with a single grow tent evolved into a fully automated cultivation facility dedicated to boutique-style growing. Through years of learning, refining genetics, and perfecting craft, BOG has stayed true to one mission—to produce cannabis that stands for excellence and community.

In 2025, that dedication was rewarded when Black Owned Genetics proudly earned 1st Place for Best Flower at the Missouri Cannabis Cup. But this win wasn’t just about the trophy—it was a statement that boutique, Black-owned cannabis brands belong at the forefront of the industry.

Supported by Kansas City locals and now recognized across the state, BOG’s story is one of resilience, innovation, and passion for the plant—and it’s only just beginning.
